Five members of the Hope College women’s track & field team have earned 2016 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association indoor honors for their performances during Saturday’s league championship meet.

Senior Emma Ropski of Park Ridge, Illinois (Maine Township HS), junior Erin Herrmann of Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS), sophomore Rachel Satkiewicz of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm HS), sophomore Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS) and freshman Sarah Neumar of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Huron HS) are among 13 MIAA athletes to achieve the distinction. 

Herrmann and Webb were part of two first-place performances at the inaugural MIAA Indoor Championships at Trine. 

They teamed with Ropski and Neumar for a school-record, distance medley relay time of 12 minutes, 17.85 seconds. 

Herrmann also recorded a winning time in the 3,000 meters of 10:09.40. 

Webb ran to a MIAA title in the 800 meters with an effort of 2:19.64. 

Satkiewicz earned her all-league recognition by placing first in the 400 meters at a school-record time of 1:00.69. 

The five All-MIAA honorees helped the Flying Dutch finish second in the overall standings.
