Hope College’s Harrison Blackledge has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played through November 19.

The senior forward from Canton, Ohio (Hoover HS) is honored for the first time after leading the Flying Dutchmen to a 2-0 start to the season with wins at the Wisconsin Stout Tournament. He averaged 27.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assist per game.

Blackledge scored a career-high 34 points on 15-of-18 shooting from the field, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range, to lead Hope to a 90-81 win over Wisconsin-River Falls on Saturday. His 15 baskets were the fourth-most by a Flying Dutchmen player in a game ever.

Blackledge nearly reached a double-double at Wisconsin-Stout on Friday with 21 points and nine rebounds. He added two blocks, two steals, and three assists.
