Hope College runner Ben Zank has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for meets through February 14.

The senior from Midland, Michigan (H.H. Dow HS) is recognized after setting a new school record in the 5,000-meter run for the Flying Dutchmen at the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Friday.

Zank bested his own previous school record by more than 26 seconds with a time of 14 minutes, 55.54 seconds to finish in the top third of runners competing from NCAA Divisions I, II and III.
