Hope College is the runner-up in the 2015-16 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Commissioner’s Cup all-sports standings.

Hope men’s and women’s sports teams totaled 129.5 points to finish second to Calvin’s 131. 

The final Commissioner’s Cup standings are determined on the basis of each college's standings in eight of eleven sports for men and eight of eleven sports for women. 

This year marked the second year of a new scoring formula for the Commissioner's Cup that awarded the same number of points for the MIAA champion in each sport, regardless of gender. 

It also marked the first year that men’s and women’s indoor track and field have been a part of the Commissioner’s Cup standings. 

The 2015-16 school year saw Hope claim MIAA titles in men’s and women’s basketball, women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf and women’s tennis. 

Hope was MIAA runner-up in men’s cross country, women’s soccer, women’s swimming & diving, men’s tennis, women’s indoor track & field, men’s and women’s outdoor track & field, and women’s volleyball.

The Commissioner’s Cup (All-Sports Award) has been presented since 1934-35. Hope has won the award 35 times, followed by Kalamazoo 15, Albion 14, Calvin 11 and Alma 5.
