The 10th-ranked Hope College volleyball team is headed back to Whitewater, Wisconsin for the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament champion Flying Dutch are seeded fourth in this week’s Whitewater regional and will open postseason play against fifth-seeded Elmhurst, Illinois on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. Central.

No. 10-ranked Hope enters with a 25-5 overall record, while No. 18 Elmhurst is 22-12 overall.

This will be the second time the Flying Dutch and Blue Jays have met this season. Elmhurst won in four sets during the Midwest Invitational on October 15 at DeVos Fieldhouse.

Thursday’s winner will face either No. 11 Whitewater (27-6) or Greenville, Illinois (25-7) in the second round on Friday at 7 p.m. Central.

Thursday’s other regional quarterfinals feature No. 14 Washington-St. Louis against Heidelberg, Ohio at 12:30 p.m. Central and No. 20 Wisconsin-Oshkosh against Bluffton, Ohio at 3 p.m. Central. Winners advance to Friday’s 4:30 p.m. Central semifinal.

The regional title match is Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Central. The winner moves to the Nov. 17 national quarterfinals in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Hope is making its 14th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and ninth in a row. The Flying Dutch were national champions in 2014. They lost in the first round last season to Bethel, Minnesota at Whitewater, Wisconsin.
