Two management employees of Creative Dining Services who are based at Hope have been awarded scholarships to the annual Catersource Conference, to be held this August in Washington, D.C.

Susan Bocks, presidential event and hospitality director at Hope, has received the Mary Crafts/Culinary Crafts Scholarship.  The award is a leading scholarship for catering professionals, and includes tuition to both The Art of Catering Food and the Caterhouse Conference, as well as one-on-one mentoring with Mary Crafts, the owner of Culinary Crafts Catering.

Josh Hoeksema, banquets and catering chef at Hope, was awarded the ICA Educational Foundation Scholarship, given to catering professionals to help advance their education.  A merit-based scholarship, the award makes it possible for the next generation of chefs to continue their culinary development.

“Josh and Susan are an integral part of our catering team, and we are excited that their dedication to excellence has resulted in these scholarships,” said Sandy Harmon, who oversees all catering operations at Hope.  Hope has been a client partner of Creative Dining Services for the past 26 years.  Jim Eickhoff, president and CEO of Creative Dining Services, added, “The commitment to excellence and providing quality catering services to our customers is exemplified by these two leaders.”

Creative Dining Services was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Zeeland.  Consistently ranked in the top 50 national food service management companies, Creative Dining manages more than 100 locations and has more than $74 million in sales annually.  More information is available at creativedining.com.
