The Hope College Concert Series will feature indie band Twin Peaks with special guest Post Animal on Friday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. at Park Theatre.

It’s rock new and old, it’s a little bit of country, it’s a whole lot of punk attitude, and it’s something to get excited about. Twin Peaks is here to stay, and they aren’t going to get pinned down.

The band’s concert in Holland is part of an international tour that has included performances in Portugal, France and the United Kingdom, with forthcoming U.S. appearances including Coachella in California as well as venues and events in Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Ohio.

Chicago, Illinois-based Twin Peaks consists of Cadien Lake James, Clay Frankel, Jack Dolan, Colin Croom and Connor Brodner.  The band’s discography includes “Sunken” (2013), “Wild Onion” (2014) and most recently “Down in Heaven” (2016).

Having careened across America and beyond, sharing their staggering energy, Twin Peaks made their third album the best way they know how: by themselves.  Co-produced by the band and longtime collaborator R. Andrew Humphrey, and mixed by new confidant John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth), the record is by turns raw, polished and wise beyond its years. The diverse new songs beg the listener to sway slowly, bang their head wildly and question what they were doing wasting emotional time on anything less.

Individual tickets for the concert are $15 for regular admission, $10 for senior citizens and Hope faculty and staff, and $5 for students. Tickets are available online at hope.edu/tickets as well as at the ticket office in the Events and Conferences Office located downtown in the Anderson-Werkman Financial Center (100 E. Eighth St.).  The ticket office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be called at (616) 395-7890.

Park Theatre is located at 248 S. River Ave., across from Centennial Park between 10th and 11th streets.
