Hope College’s Erin Herrmann is returning to compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship for the second consecutive season.
The senior from Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS) is one of 17 competitors to qualify. She will race on Saturday, March 17 at 4 p.m. at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
Herrmann is seeded 10th with a time of 9 minutes, 49.45 seconds.
The top seed is Felicia Koerner of Johns Hopkins, Maryland is seeded No. 1 with a time of 9:29.20.
This is Herrmann’s second trip to the indoor national championships. She finished 12th in the 3,000 meters last year.
Herrmann was an All-American in cross country this fall after placing fourth at nationals.
