The Hope College women’s and men’s swimming & diving teams have earned spots on the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Teams for the 2016 fall semester.

Coach John Patnott’s Flying Dutch and Flying Dutchmen are among a record 638 women’s and men’s teams from all NCAA and NAIA divisions to receive the honor.

The Flying Dutch recorded the third-highest team GPA among NCAA Division III women’s teams at 3.65. Only MIT (3.72) and Pomona Pitzer, Calif. (3.69) were higher in Division III.

The Flying Dutchmen posted a team GPA of 3.13.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the fall semester.
