Hope College's Tanner Gilmore has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Baseball Position Player of the Week for games played April 10-16.

The sophomore from Murrieta, California (Alta Loma HS) is receiving the honor for the first time after batting .473 as the Flying Dutchmen won five of six games last week.

Gilmore hit two home runs as part of his nine hits in 19 at-bats against Kalamazoo and Olivet. He leads Hope with four home runs this season.

Gilmore also totaled eight RBIs and scored five runs.
