Meet the Miracle Kids

In 1980, the U.S. Men’s Olympic hockey team claimed victory over the USSR, which led to broadcaster Al Michaels’ famous call, “Do you believe in miracles?” Today, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is raising this question again.

Over 20 amazing children and families represent the heart and soul of Dance Marathon at Hope College. They are the face of the hospital for the hundreds of Hope students who participate in the marathon each year. They’re present throughout the year at Hope College homecoming festivities, basketball games, the annual Miracle Auction and Dance Marathon itself. Hope students and organizations form lasting bonds with these families — supporting them, learning from them and celebrating with them.
