About Parent Relations
The mission of Hope College's Parent Relations program is to:
Facilitate communication between parents and the College.
Develop and nurture meaningful, lasting relationships between parents and the College.
Sponsor programs and services that will engage parents in the life of the College and endear them to the College’s mission.
Promote the development of the College and its students by encouraging parental support of the Hope Fund and other financial projects.

Alumni & Parent Relations Staff
Scott, a 2006 Hope graduate, previously worked as Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Relations. Prior to serving alumni and parents at Hope, he was the Assistant Event and Ticket Manager for Hope's DeVos Fieldhouse.
As a student he worked extensively with various campus departments, including the Admissions Office, event management at the DeVos Fieldhouse, and summer camps and conferences for Conference Services. He played football at Hope, was a Resident Assistant, and graduated as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
His off campus experience includes a semester in Philadelphia as a communications intern for the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to that, he owned and operated TEAM Youth Sports, providing sports camps for middle school youth.
A 2000 Hope graduate, Szczerowski brings extensive experience in event planning, marketing and community relations to her work at the college. Most recently, she served as the Grand Rapids Children's Museum's marketing and membership manager. She had previously been with Goodwill Industries in Grandville, first as a development associate and then as marketing and development supervisor.
A native of Zeeland, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a minor in business from Hope. Her activities as a student included the Sigma Sigma sorority, the Nykerk Cup competition and the student-organized Dance Marathon fund-raiser held on behalf of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. She also participated in the Chicago Metropolitan Center off-campus study program.
Sandy Tasma has over 35 years of experience serving Hope College students, alumni, parents, academic departments and administrative offices. She supports the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, as well as the College Advancement staff.
