About Parent Relations
The mission of Hope College's Parent Relations program is to:
Facilitate communication between parents and the College.
Develop and nurture meaningful, lasting relationships between parents and the College.
Sponsor programs and services that will engage parents in the life of the College and endear them to the College’s mission.
Promote the development of the College and its students by encouraging parental support of the Hope Fund and other financial projects.

Alumni & Parent Relations Staff
Mary, a 1996 Hope graduate, previously worked at Auburn University for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, where her responsibilities included organizing and managing a variety of national programs for health professionals and health educators. Prior to joining Auburn, she was as a consultant in program evaluation and grant writing and was the evaluation and grant manager with the Columbus Children, Youth and Family Coalition in Columbus, Georgia.
She majored in psychology at Hope, where she was a member of the Psi Chi National Psychology Honors Fraternity. She completed a master’s degree in social work, with a specialty in policy and program planning, at Western Michigan University in 1998.

Scott Travis '06

Scott is a 2006 Hope graduate with a major in management. As a student he worked extensively with various campus departments, including the Admissions Office, event management at the DeVos Fieldhouse, and summer camps and conferences for Conference Services. He played football at Hope for three years, was a Resident Assistant, and graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. His off campus experience includes study in Philadelphia with an internship in communications with the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to that, he operated TEAM Youth Sports, a small organization providing sports camps for middle school youth. Scott also has experience with the Hope Fund, web and graphic design, and marketing.
Sandy supports the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, as well as the College Advancement staff.
