on Saturday, September 6

Great things are happening in Holland and at Hope College. We are celebrating the 43rd Anniversary of Community Day with a picnic and other fun activities and invite you to join us!

11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

  • Feast on bratwursts, hamburgers, sliced turkey breast, vegetarian croissants, salads, chips, cookies, and more

  • Door Prize drawings

  • Music by Holland's American Legion Band

  • Rain location will be at Hope College's Phelps Dining Hall, corner of 10th St. and Columbia Ave.


    Spend the Day Enjoying
    Windmill Island Activities

    7th Street and Lincoln Avenue

    9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Bring your ticket stub to Windmill Island for free admission all day Saturday.

  • Tour "De Zwaan", the 248-year-old operating Dutch windmill; explore 36 acres of gardens, dikes, and canals; ride the antique carousel; visit the Posthouse museum; and shop at the unique Windmill Island stores.

    Ticket Information

  • Community Day Tickets, which include the picnic, Windmill Island admission, and the football game, are $7.50 for adults, $4 for children 5-11, and free for children under 5.
  • It's all FREE to students using your meal card. It's also the only campus meal being served during the lunch hour.

    If you're not on a meal plan, your ID will get you into Windmill Island as well as the football game. Tickets for the
    picnic are $7.50 per person for anyone not on a meal plan.
  • Advance tickets may be purchased at the college’s Ticket Office, located in the DeVos Fieldhouse, 222 Fairbanks Avenue.
  • The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday from
    10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Ticket Office will also be open on
    Saturday, September 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Tickets may be ordered by calling 616-395-7136.
    Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
  • Any remaining tickets can be purchased Saturday, September 6, under the blue tent in the DeVos Fieldhouse parking lot, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
  • Rain location will be at Phelps Hall, corner of 10th St. and Columbia.
