Corporate and Foundation Relations

Partnering with Hope College

Corporations and foundations play a key role in the vibrant financial support of Hope College. Supporting corporations honor the college by recognizing who has played a key role in their success, introduce their companies and their products and services to potential buyers, and encourage philanthropy by their employees and through the corporation.

Making a Difference

Supporting Facilities-Hope has new facilities that have been dedicated and others that will be opening soon including The Science Center, The Martha Miller Center for Global Communications, and the DeVos Fieldhouse. Renovations on Graves Hall and Lubbers Hall will commence when the Martha Miller Center is opened Fall 2005. The footprint of the college has grown by over 33% over the past six years!

Supporting Faculty-Endowing a chair or department provides necessary resources to conduct research, promote scholarship, and keeps Hope at the forefront of innovation and higher education. An endowed chair is the highest honor that the college can bestow on a professor and it supports salary, expenses, and research.

Supporting Students-Scholarships help students defray the costs of their education and scholarships help recognize student achievement and aspiration.

Supporting Endowment-The college has an initiative to keep annual student tuition increases at a moderate level and also recruit and retain effective teacher-scholars. The Endowment Fund has a direct benefit to students and Hope College.

Business and Industry Campaign
Every year, business leaders in the Holland/Zeeland community take a day to help call on area businesses and corporations to ask for gifts to support the annual fund, the Hope Fund. This time honored tradition is a great way of giving back to the college in recognition of the relationship the college affords in the community.

Michigan Single Business Tax Credit
The state of Michigan allows you to redirect a portion of your single business tax to Hope College. You can give up to 10% of your SBT exposure and get a 50% tax credit. This is in addition to federal tax savings. A gift to Hope is good for your business and good for the college. Please consult your tax planner for more information.
