This past summer, sophomores Emi Teshima of Ludington, Mich., and Annie Witham of North Muskegon, Mich. were employed by Elite Cheerleading Organization based in Pittsburgh. They spent the summer traveling across the country conducting personalized camps for individual high school cheerleading teams. This valuable experience will surely be an asset to the Hope squad.
In August, Hope cheerleaders made their yearly trip to Milwaukee to participate in the largest regional cheerleading camp in the country sponsored by the Universal Cheerleading Association.
Despite more than half of the Hope cheerleaders having no prior collegiate camp competition experience, Hope brought home a third place trophy in the fight sone competition in their division. This result supasses Hope'e previous fourth place finishes in two of the last three yers at camp.
Hope was also awarded
a trophy along with one other squad from among the entire camp (over 800
cheerleaders) for exhibiting exemplary safety throughout the week.
