Hope College Ice Hockey was founded as a club sport team in 1996-97.
Hope has won the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) tournament championship three times -- 2004, 2007 and 2008.
The team qualified for the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III national tournament for the first time in 2001-02, finishing fifth.
Hope has advanced to championship game of the ACHA
national tournament, three times, finishing second in 2003, 2010 and 2011.
