History of Hope Ice Hockey Team

- Hope College ice hockey was founded as a club sport team in 1996-97.
- Hope has won the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) regular season title five times (04-05, 07-08, 09-10, 10-11, 11-12).
- Hope has won the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) tournament championship three times -- 2004, 2007 and 2008.
- The team qualified for the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III national tournament for the first time in 2001-02, finishing fifth. Through 2012-13, the Flying
Dutchmen have qualified 12 consecutive years, the most of any ACHA member.
- Hope has advanced to the championship game of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III national tournament
three times, finishing second in 2003, 2010 and 2011.
