The Flying Dutchmen will be having its breast cancer awareness game on
Friday, Feb. 12 at the Edge Ice arena at 8:30 p.m. vs. Adrian College.
The team has raised nearly $5,000 so far and will be presenting a check
to the Van Andel Institute before the game. The Cosmopolitan Fraternity
helped raise money
to buy the special pink jerseys. The name of a cancer survivor
or someone that lost their battle appears on the jerseys. There
will also be Chuck-A-Puck to raise money and portions of the gate will
be donated in memory
of women's tennis coach Karen Page who
died of cancer last summer.
