The Russ DeVette Holiday Classic honors longtime Hope
College basketball coach Russ DeVette who guided the Flying
Dutchmen to
more than 300 victories from 1948-1977.
Coach DeVette died on November 23, 2009 at age 86.
His legacy continues through this holiday basketball tournament.
