- The Flying Dutchmen
scored more than 100 points in a game for the first time in the 1904-05
season, defeating Grand Rapids Medical College 101-8. Hope also defeated
the Grand Rapids YMCA 106-26 in 1908-09, but then played 735 games before
achieving the fete again, defeating Ferris State 100-73 in 1951-52. The
longest span since without a 100-point game was 64 games from the fourth
game in 1976-77 to the sixth game in 1979-80.
- It took just two
games at the college's new DeVos Fieldhouse before the Flying Dutchmen
surpassed 100 points. Hope defeated Andrews 103-46 on November 22, 2005.
- During the decade
of the 1980s, the Flying Dutchmen scored 100 or more points 37 times,
an average of once every seven games. During the decade of the 1990s
the Dutchmen achieved the mark in 26 games, an average of once every
12 games.
