Volleyball Court Setup
The portable court constructed at DeVos Fieldhouse for the NCAA championship
consists of 10,368 modular pieces (2,592 for the wood-like
court and 7,776 for the blue border. Each piece has 16 individual
squares, giving
the configuration a
total of 16,588 individual squares attached together much like a
set of Legos. The installation by Connor
Sport Court
of Salt Lake City, Utah, with help from members of the Hope College
physical plant staff, took about three hours. It will be removed
after the toutrnament and re-installed next week at the Division
II championship.
