Players Honored for Inaugural MIAA Season
The inaugural Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-conference
lacrosse teams include three players from Hope College. Introduced at
Hope as a varsity sport in 2013, the Flying Dutch finished third in the regular season standings of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and
advanced to the NCAA qualifying conference tournament.
Named to the All-MIAA first team were junior midfielder Katie Sabourin, pictured center, of Flint (Powers Catholic HS) and
sophomore defender Molly Greenfield, pictured right, of Georgetown, Tex. A second team honoree was senior attack Maddie Ferguson of Seattle,
Wash. (Seattle Prep HS).

Maddie Ferguson scored nine goals in a game on two occasions in 2013.
First Intercollegiate Records Established
The 2013 season marked the first year of intercollegiate lacrosse at Hope and the establishment of alltime records.

Home of the Flying Dutch
The Flying Dutch play their home games at Van Andel Stadium on the campus of Hope College. The stadium is also home to the college's soccer teams in the fall.
