ADMISSIONS

Campus Visits: The Admissions Office is open from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m. weekdays, and from September through early June is also open from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturdays. Tours and admissions interviews are available during the summer as well as the school year. Appointments are recommended.

Visit Days offer specific programs for prospective students, including transfers and high school juniors and seniors. The programs show students and their parents a typical day in the life of a Hope student.

DANCE


Dance 38 - Friday-Saturday, Feb 24-25, and Thursday-Saturday, March 1-3; Knickerbocker Theatre, 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for regular admission, $7 for senior citizens, and $5 for children 18 and under.

DE PREE GALLERY

"Calla Thompson: Solid State" - Monday, Jan. 16 - Friday, Feb. 10. Situated in a parallel realm, the characters in these works waver between virtuous and corrupt. The objects are markers and cultural debris, as well as inadequate devices of communication or defense. These works are comprised primarily of appropriated images, altered in-computer, using both photographic and drawing techniques. There will be an artist’s talk on Friday, Feb. 3, at 4:30 p.m. at the De Pree Art Center followed by a reception on Friday, Feb. 3, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m

“Reading Between the Lines: the History and Production of Books highlighted by the Hope College Rare Book Collection”—Friday, Feb. 24-Saturday, March 24
The exhibition, curated by students of ART 361, Special Projects in Art History, features rare books dating from the 15th through 20th centuries and demonstrates how books have histories to tell about production, culture and readership beyond the texts they bear. There will be a curator’s talk on Friday, March 2, at 4:30 p.m. at the De Pree Art Center followed by an opening reception on Friday, March 2, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Graduating Senior Art Show - Friday, March 30 - Sunday, May 6. Work by graduating art majors. There will be an opening reception on Friday, March 30, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.



The gallery is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Please call the gallery at (616) 395-7500 for more information.
