The 2000/2001 Academic Honor Roll of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) includes 115 student-athletes from Hope College.

The academic awards program is administered by the faculty representatives of the MIAA member colleges.

The 12th annual Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the year.

Among the Hope students named to the Honor Roll are five seniors who both lettered four years and achieved the academic distinction. They are Timothy Cupery (cross country) of Holland/West Ottawa HS, Jennifer Ernst (cross country and track) of Westerville, Ohio/Westerville HS, Kim Grotenhuis (volleyball and softball) of Hamilton/Hamilton HS); Kristin Koenigsknecht (basketball) of St. Johns/St. Johns, and Betsy VandenBerg (swimming) of Beverly Hills/Southfield Christian HS.

A total of 14 students combined academic excellence while participating in two sports during the school year.
