The Flying Dutch captured the championship of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and earned a berth in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Coach Maureen Dunn's Dutch posted a 31-8 season record.

Senior Amy Brower of Hamilton, Mich. (Hamilton HS) and sophomore Laura Hahnfeld of Midland, Mich. (Midland HS) have been named to the Great Lakes All-Region team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. They become eligible for Division III All-America consideration.

Brower and senior teammate Kim Grotenhuis have been voted to the first Verizon Academic All-District team. They are among six players honored from NCAA Division II and III and NAIA teams in Michigan, Ohio, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee.
