MIAA basketball coaches have offered their pre-season predictions.
In women's basketball, the Flying Dutch are the unanimous choice of coaches to repeat as champions. Coach Brian Morehouse's Dutch received all of the possible first place votes. Picked for second place is Alma followed by Calvin, Kalamazoo, Adrian, Saint Mary's, Albion and Olivet.
In men's basketball, defending champion Calvin has been pegged as the team to beat while the Flying Dutchmen have been picked to finish second. Both Calvin and Hope received three first place votes while third place choice Albion received one. Rounding out the poll are Adrian, Kalamazoo and Olivet tied for fifth and Alma.
