Several Hope players have been named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association all-conference basketball teams.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Three Hope players have been named All-MIAA in a vote of league coaches.
Named to the first team are juniors Chad Carlson of Holland, Mich. (Holland HS) and Don Overbeek of Wyoming, Mich. (Calvin Christian HS).
Freshman Greg Immink of Hudsonville, Mich. (Hudsonville HS) was voted to the All-MIAA second team while junior Matt Taylor of Pinckney, Mich. (Pinckney HS) received coaches' honorable mention.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The MIAA champion Flying Dutch placed three players of the All-MIAA teams. The honorees are selected by league coaches.
Senior Laura Poppema of Holland, Mich. (Holland HS) was voted to the first team for the second year in-a-row. She was joined by senior teammate Becky Sutton of Eaton Rapids, Mich. (Eaton Rapids HS).
Junior Amy Baltmanis of Paw Paw, Mich. was voted to the All-MIAA second team for the second consecutive year while senior Jodi Boom of Coopersville, Mich. (Coopersville HS) received coaches' honorable mention.
