The success of Hope's basketball teams so far this season has not gone unnoticed.
The national publication DIII News has named women's basketball coach Brian Morehouse the national Division III coach of the month for December and senior center Don Overbeek the men's basketball player of the month.
Morehouse has guided the Flying Dutch to a perfect 11-0 record heading into the start of MIAA conference play this week. Coach of the Flying Dutch since 1996, Morehouse has a 135-41 record. The Dutch are the three-time defending MIAA champions and have advanced to the NCAA playoffs four of the last five years.
