With the start of the college basketball season just days away, MIAA coaches have announced their pre-season polls.
Women's Basketball
The defending MIAA Flying Dutch are the unanimous pick of coaches to win a fourth consecutive women's basketball title. Kalamazoo has been pegged for second place followed by Albion, Adrian, Calvin, Alma, Saint Mary's and Olivet.
Men's Basketball
In men's basketball, defending champion Calvin narrowly edged the Flying Dutchmen as the pre-season favorite. The Knights collected four first place votes while Hope received three. Picked for third is Kalamazoo followed by Albion, Adrian, Olivet and Alma.
