Awards for outstanding performance during the 2002 volleyball season have been announced by coach Maureen Dunn.
Senior Martha Luidens of Holland, Mich. (Holland HS) was honored as the team's most valuable player. A four-year letterwinner, Luidens was voted to the All-MIAA first team.
Sophomore Kelley Hutchins of Livonia, Mich. (Stevenson HS) was recognized as best team player while freshman Sara Homakie of Cass City, Mich. (Cass City HS) was honored as the most improved player.
The Flying Dutch posted a 17-14 season record, finishing fourth in the MIAA standings.
