The Flying Dutch competed at the Division III women's nationals in Atlanta, Ga. the weekend of March 13-15.
Competing were senior Kelly Parker of Battle Creek, Mich. (Lakeview HS), junior Michelle Smith of Olympia, Wash., and junior Audrey Arnold of Richmond, Ind.
None of Hope's entries advanced past the preliminary round. A 16th place finish was needed to advance to the finals.
Audrey Arnold was 18th in a field of 32 entrants in the 100-yard backstroke with a season-best time (:59.69), 19th among 29 in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.44) and 38th among 50 in the 200-yard individual medley (2:13.76).
Kelly Parker was 25th among 30 in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.24:) and 29th among 36 in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.88).
Michelle Smith was 33rd among 40 in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.85), 32nd in a field of 45 entrants in the 500-yard freestyle (5:10.46) and 18th among 20 in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:51.79).
