High School Cheerleading Competition Winners Are Announced

HOLLAND – Some 34 high school cheerleading squads participated in the 33rd annual Hope College Cheerleading Clinic and Competition, held on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Holland High School.
Nearly 400 cheerleaders attended. They received instruction from members of the Hope College cheerleading squad and then participated in a competition.
The competition named winners in the freshman, junior varsity and varsity level in both Class A-B and Class C-D, as well as spirit awards at the freshman, junior varsity and varsity level and co-ed awards.
The squads received awards as follows:
Freshman C-D:

Freshman A-B:
1st Place: Whitehall
2nd Place: Holland
3rd Place: Zeeland West
Junior Varsity C-D:
1st Place: Bridgman
2nd Place: Galesburg-Augusta

4th Place: Springport
5th Place: Bangor
