Two members of the Hope College cheerleading squad garnered honors in the partner stunt competition at the 2000 AmeriCheer College Winter Classic in Columbus, Ohio the weekend of Feb. 18-19.
Sophomores Beth Evans of West Chicago, Ill. and Tony Frucci of Plainwell, Mich. performed a one-minute partner stunt routine to music. Competing against couples from Division I universities, the Hope duo finished in third place.
"The weeks of hard work and dedication paid off for Beth and Tony," noted coach Wes Wooley. "They did an outstanding job in representing Hope College and our cheer program."
