Quarterback Club Luncheon
Has Early Beginning

     HOLLAND -- Hope College football fans will have an early
opportunity to enjoy their traditional Quarterback Club luncheons
this year.
     The season's first luncheon will be held Friday, Sept. 3 in
honor of the members of the visiting Autonomous University of
Queretaro, Mexico football team.  The luncheon will be held at
noon in the Maas Auditorium on the Hope campus.  The public is
invited.  Advance reservations are not required.
     The Flying Dutchmen will play the Wildcats of Queretaro in a
pre-season exhibition game on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Holland
Municipal Stadium.
     The Quarterback Club luncheons are normally held at noon
each Monday during the football season.  The season's first
Monday luncheon will be held September 13.
     Featured during the luncheons is head football coach Dean
Kreps who shows video game highlights and previews future
opponents.  Players and coaches are guests.
     The Quarterback Club is chaired by Ross Nykamp, a 1980 Hope
graduate and All-MIAA football player.
     The buffet luncheon will cost $6.75.
