Round of 16 at NCAA Tennis Championships

Senior Jennifer Smith advanced to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Division III women's tennis championships in St. Peter, Minn.
She opened play in the championships, which featured the top 32 NCAA Division III players in the nation, with a three-set victory over the tournament's eighth-seeded player, Mary Missbach of the University of the South, Tenn., 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.
In the Round of 16 she was defeated by Karen Lui of the University of Chicago, 6-3, 7-5.
Smith concludes her collegiate career as Hope's second winningest singles player with a 78-20 record. She was 20-7 this season.
