window was a gift of the Hope College Class of 1901.

a desert character. At his feet is a tipped water vessel
depicting
the barren dryness of the desert.
(right) Apostle Simon the Zealot, shown as a very old man, is resting on a
saw. In art, Simon has the identifying attribute of a saw because he was put
to death by a saw.

The symbols, from left to right, feature The Anchor, The Sheaf
of Wheat, and The Lily. The Anchor, the symbol of Hope College,
is featured in several of the Chapel’s windows.
