Senior outfielder Vance Nardin of Kentwood (East Kentwood HS) has been voted to the Mideast All-Region first team by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). He earlier was voted the outstanding position player in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

The All-Region team honors Division III players from colleges in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

This season Nardin batted .416 in all games and topped the MIAA in league games with a .460 average. The Flying Dutchmen posted a 22-16 season record and finished second in the MIAA standings.
