The issues faced by professional women in today's work world will be the focus of a panel discussion at Hope College on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fried-Hemenway Auditorium of the Martha Miller Center for Global Communication.
The discussion, titled "Women in the Workplace," will feature female professionals from a variety of disciplines. It is organized by the Office of Career Services at Hope and intended particularly for Hope students in advance of their own entry into the work force, but is open to the general public. Admission is free.
The panel participants will be Mary Barr, a nurse practitioner with Michigan Medical PC; Donna Cornwell, executive director of the Center for Women in Transition; Jill Jepsen, a professional artist and instructor at Ferris State University; Lois McAllister Mulder, a teacher with the Holland Public Schools; and Linda Milanowski, director of colors, materials and finishes at Herman Miller.
A dessert networking reception will follow the panel discussion. The Martha Miller Center is located on Columbia Avenue at 10th Street.
