Identification
Card Information
STUDENT ID CARDS
- All registered students will
receive an official Hope College student ID card.
- The card must be presented to use the library or cafeteria, may be required
for access to certain campus buildings, residences, or computer labs, and
may be needed for other college services and activities.
- Students registered for fewer than
6 credit hours will pay a $40.00 semester fee for the ID card and its
privileges.
- ID cost for students registered for 6 or more
credits will be included in their semester activity fee.
- The cost for replacing an ID card is $20.00 and will be billed to the student's
account.
- Cards damaged by punch holes will be subject to the $20.00 replacement
fee.
- The card is void if not validated for the current semester or term.
- The card is not transferable.
- Lost, mutilated or stolen ID cards must be reported to the Registrar's
Office.
- Old IDs can NOT be re-activated.
OBTAINING A REPLACEMENT ID:
- If a new photo is needed, go to one of the scheduled photo sessions. Your
new ID should be ready at the session.
- If a new photo is not needed, go to the Registrar's
Office. You will be informed when to pick up your new ID.
- If your card also functions as a building access card, you will need to
take it to Campus Safety for access coding.
- The $20.00 replacement fee
will be billed to your student account.

only. Please call the Registrar's Office for an appointment (395-7760).
FACULTY/STAFF ID CARDS
OBTAINING A REPLACEMENT ID:
- Go to the Human Resources Office to obtain a permission slip for a replacement
ID.
- If a new photo is needed, go to one of the scheduled photo sessions. Your
new ID should be ready at the session.
- If a new photo is not needed, go to the Registrar's
Office. You will be informed when to pick up your new ID.
- If your card also functions as a building access card, you will need to
take it to Campus Safety for access coding.
