Welcome to the Assessment Committee's Web site. Our purpose is to help
you understand the needs and requirements for assessment in your course,
department, division, office or program. Assessment may sound intimidating,
but a well designed assessment program will help you and our students
achieve the goals you have set out. Assessment can be viewed as a way
of measuring whether we have succeeded in reaching our goals, and using
this information to feed back into our programs, making changes and improvements
as necessary. On these pages you will find useful information about the
Hope College assessment program, as well as suggestions you can implement
in your department to help gather, interpret, and use assessment data.
The committee is here to help you, so if you have any questions, please
contact one of us. We can help!
