Assessment and the College Governance Structure

An Assessment Committee oversees the assessment program. This committee is duly constituted under the Academic Affairs Board.

Assessment and the Review of Academic Departments

Assessment has been institutionalized by making it a part of the ongoing review of academic departments. Academic departments are required to submit assessment plans as part of their self-studies. These assessment plans must address assessment methods for determining whether students are meeting the goals, objectives, and intended outcomes of the major program as well as assessment methods to determine whether students are meeting the goals, objectives and intended outcomes of the departments' contributions to the core curriculum. In subsequent years departments will be required to report their assessment findings as well as the changes made to curriculum and program as a result of their assessment programs.
