Internet Connection Problem

The campus lost its connection to the Internet today from approximately 3:35 PM to 3:45 PM. CIT remedied the problem, and apologizes for the inconvenience.

Welcome Class of 2010!

If you're an incoming or prospective student for Fall 2006 (or a parent), but sure to check out our tips for new students. Just click on the "New Students START HERE!" graphic on the right. Internet connection upgrade

As we mentioned in a previous post, we've been working for awhile on an upgrade to the College's Internet connection.

I'm happy to report that as of March 16th, our Internet connection is now operating at 15 Mbps (megabits-per-seconds). That's an increase of 66% over the previous 9 Mbps. The upgrade has made a significant difference in the speed of web page and file downloads, especially during the afternoon and evening hours (when demand is the highest).

For Graduating Students: A reminder

Remember, if you'll be graduating this spring, your Hope College e-mail account will only be available to you for a short time after graduation. A message will soon go out to those affected with more details.

If you haven't done so already, now is the time to create another e-mail account for use after you leave Hope. There are many ways to get a free account, including Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, and GMail.

If you already have another account, be sure to let all your friends, family, and others (including any prospective employers and/or grad schools) that they should start using your new e-mail address soon. That way, you never lose contact!
