The Banner 8 upgrade has been completed. All components of the system, including KnowHope Plus, are once again up and running. A special thanks to Kris Witkowski, Cheryl Shea, and Steve Bareman for the long hours they put in this weekend to accomplish this work well ahead of schedule.

To ensure that your addressed in the most timely manner, please route all inquiries through Help Desk (x7670 or cit@hope.edu) rather than specific CIT staff members.

Moodle Enhancements

CIT is pleased to announce some exciting enhancements to Moodle!

A Moodle course will now be automatically created for every class and every section being offered. This means you do not have to contact CIT to setup your Moodle offerings - they're all already there. To see your courses for the upcoming term log in at: http://courses.hope.edu/

These newly-created courses will be blank - no content will be present. Faculty wishing to have a course copied ("cloned") from a previous term or have multiple sections combined (a "meta-course") should contact the CIT Help Desk (x7670 or cit@hope.edu). And as always, each course will be hidden from students until you explicitly make it available.

If you've already been working on a Moodle course or two for the upcoming semester, don't worry - those courses won't be changed.

Should you decide to forgo using Moodle (either for a particular section or for all your courses), that's okay. Because the courses are hidden by default, students won't see them. Of course you can always contact CIT for information on getting started with Moodle.

As an additional enhancement, student enrollment in Moodle courses will now be updated in real-time with data from the Registrar's Office. This means that adds and drops are reflected as they happen.

As always, please feel free to contact the CIT Help Desk (x7670 or cit@hope.edu) with questions.
