ConnectHope allows faculty, staff & students to access the Internet from their home, residence hall room, cottage or apartment. ConnectHope allows you to send and receive e-mail from your personal computer, access class Web pages and discussion boards and surf the Web.

There is no cost for using ConnectHope.

Hardware Requirements

A Windows PC with a wired Ethernet port, 802.11b or 802.11g wireless Ethernet card, or modem (depending on location). The computer should run Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP (either Home or Professional), and have Internet Explorer installed.
A Macintosh with an Ethernet port, Apple AirPort wireless Ethernet, or modem (depending on location). The computer should run Mac OS X and have Internet Explorer installed.
If you are buying a new computer, you may also want to include a wireless Ethernet card, depending on where you currently live or plan to live.
Ethernet cables and wireless Ethernet cards are available from the Hope-Geneva Bookstore.
