Antivirus Software

For personal computers, CIT recommends downloading Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus software. This is a FREE virus protection package.

Even if you already have antivirus software installed, CIT highly recommends that all students take advantage of this resource. While other packages require you to continually purchase "subscription renewals" in order to receive updates, you'll receive free updates as long as this software is installed. Once installed, this software will automatically download and install new virus definition files on a regular basis.

Incoming students should download and install this software before arriving on campus.
