Student Mail Services

Quick Information About The Mail Center

Summer (May-August)

All student and Resident Directors mail is picked up at the Hope Mail Center in the DeWitt Center. You will be notified via e-mail only of package receipts. Summer hours are 8:30am - 4:00 pm daily. Not open on Saturdays or Sundays

Academic year (August - May)

The Hope College Mail Center is located on the first floor of the DeWitt Cultural Center. Our hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Hope Mail Center staff picks up mail at the post office before noon each day, Monday through Saturday, and delivers it to each hall by 4:00 p.m. This delivery also includes Hope College intercampus mail. Students are notified via e-mail of packages available for pickup on the day the package is received by the Mail Center. You should have your Student ID with you in order to pick up your package. United Parcel Service (UPS) and Federal Express, and US Postal Service student packages will all be delivered to the Hope Mail Center.

U.S. and intra-campus mail is delivered to residence hall and College East Apartment mailboxes usually located in the common area of each hall by Hope College Mail Center employees. Students living in other on-campus apartments are responsible for picking up all of their mail at the mail center located on the first floor of the DeWitt Student Center. Students in cottages will have their U.S. mail delivered to their cottage but will still be responsible for picking up their intra-campus mail at the Mail Center.

We make every effort to eliminate the delivery of mail for students that are no longer enrolled, but if you do receive mail for the previous residents, please return it to the DeWitt Mail Center.

This delivery service is for remotely located departments from the DeWitt Mail Center. Delivery commences at 10:30 - 12:00 daily. The service also performs pickup of interoffice and outgoing mail and packages which are brought back to the DeWitt Mail Center for processing.

The Mail Center receives and sends UPS, Fed Ex and USPS mail and packages. The labels and forms needed for each of these services are available in the mail center as well as envelopes and some boxes for each. (click here for more info about packages)

Stamps, package labels, priority boxes etc. are available in the Mail Center as well.
