Do you need a resume?
- Begin creating your resume by reviewing "Preparing
Your Resume", or if you are a junior education major, reviewing "Example
Resumes for Juniors"
- Then visit the Career Services' website to link to Optimal
Resume. Plan to do this AT LEAST 10 days
prior to the due date to allow enough time for your resume to be processed.
- Create a profile to upload an existing document or create a resume
in Optimal Resume.
- Submit the resume to the Review Center (click “Review
Center” tab and
hit submit without selecting any options from the drop down menu).
- Your resume will be reviewed by a Career Services’ staff
member within 48 hours. Feedback regarding your resume and possible
suggestions
for changes will be emailed to you.
- Make any revisions necessary and RE-SUBMIT your resume to the Review
Center for approval.
- Once your resume has been approved, it can be forwarded to your professor
to meet your requirement, as well as used for applying for an internship
or employment opportunity.
Do you need to schedule a mock interview?
- CALL the office (395-7950) as soon as possible to schedule your one-hour
appointment. Appointments fill up quickly and you will not want to
miss your deadline.
- When you come for your mock interview, bring paper and pen with you.
Do you need to complete a Strengths Assessment?
- You will have a code assigned to you (available either for pick up
at the Office of Career Services or handed out in class). You will
need this code to complete the assessment online by a given deadline.
- CALL as soon as possible (395-7950) to schedule a one-hour appointment
at the Office of Career Services to review your results.
