Sophomore Spotlight
 |
Do you have a CAREER game
plan?
The sophomore year
is an important one. It's a time of transition when issues like
choosing a major, identifying career options, finding an internship
or summer job may be of concern for you, the second year student.
To assist with career
planning issues like these, the Career
Services staff has developed a program that addresses these
specific needs and concerns- it's called Sophomore Spotlight. Our
goal is to be a resource for YOU as you plan your
future at Hope.
|
No matter where you are in your journey, the purpose
of this meeting is to:
- touch base with you and provide an ear for any issues or concerns
that you have about your Hope experience to-date.
- hear your thoughts on an academic major and career direction.
- get you thinking about career-related issues and general life planning.
- orient you to internship and study abroad options.
- get you connected with appropriate resources.
- develop concrete "next steps" for you to take in your career development
process.
- provide effective follow-up appointments with Career Services staff.
- assist YOU in pursuing your call, during your time at Hope and
after graduation.
Career Counselor Trudi VanderPloeg
encourages you to stop by or call the Office of Career Services to schedule
an appointment. |
