Credential Process Change for 2008December 2007 and earlier graduates still have their credentials maintained by the Office of Career Services. What is in a teacher credential file? Additionally, teachers should include their resume in their file and complete an Authorization Form (stating whether or not their file is open or closed) and an Activation Form, which includes a fee of $20 for processing credentials. Official transcripts are obtained through the Registrar’s Office. Students graduating in May/July, 2008 Teacher candidates will have student teaching evaluation(s) and a college supervisor’s evaluation for each student teaching experience on file. This file is maintained at the Department of Education until you are certified to teach. Once the file is complete, it is currently being sent to the Office of Career Services to be housed. Once the completed file is received in the Office of Career Services in late May, these evaluations are made into pdfs and emailed to you via your Hope email address. Once the documents have been emailed to you, you will be responsible to maintain them on your own computer or flash drive. Be sure to back up these documents. Letters of recommendation will be obtained and maintained by you. December 2008 and May 2009 graduates will follow the same procedure
as stated for May/July 2008 graduates. |
