What is a Learning Disability?
A learning disability in characterized by a deficit in oral expression, listening comprehension, written expression, basic reading skills and reading comprehension, mathematical calculation, or problem solving. Individuals with learning disabilities may also have difficulty with sustained attention, time management, or social skills. The degree of severity of the disability varies from individual to individual. It affects individuals with varying intellectual abilities and is not dependent on one’s IQ.
Accommodations are made for students on an individual basis.
