Roaming Town Hall!

Student Congress will have its first Roaming Townhall meeting on Tuesday, October 27 at 9pm. This is a great opportunity for students to come out and see what we do in meetings, as well as bring up their concerns directly to their representatives during open floor. The meeting will take place in the first floor DeWitt Lobby and is open to all students. Email Congress@Hope.edu with any questions or comments.

Meijer Runs!

Meijer Runs will begin on Thursday, September 10. Meet at the DeWitt Flagpole to get a free ride to and from Meijer. The shuttle will run every Thursday from 6-8pm, departing from campus about every 15 minutes. The shuttle is free for all Hope Students.

Election Information!

Elections are coming up, and a lot of people have been asking for the breakdown. Here is a list of each Representative district, followed with the amount of representatives per district:

Cook (2)
Apartments (4) - Represents all Hope-owned apartments
Cottages (4) - Represents all Hope-owned Cottages
Wyckoff (1)
Durfee (1)
Dykstra (3)
Gilmore (1)
Kollen (3)
Lichty/Van Vleck (1)
Off-Campus (2) - Includes commuter students
Phelps (2)
Scott (1)
Voorhees (1)

Petitions can be picked up from the SUD or the Student Congress office, or can be emailed to you if you email congress@hope.edu. Elections will take place September 9 and 10, with polls opening online at midnight, and closing the following night at 11:45pm. A link will be sent to each student's email with the information on how to vote.

We are also accepting applications for Secretary and Parliamentarian. These are non-elected positions and you do not have to be on Student Congress to apply for them. Applications can be picked up in the Student Congress Office, the SUD, or via email (congress@hope.edu).
